Take the next step by visiting TCC’s Open House on June 3, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Norfolk and Chesapeake Campuses. Registration is not required, but recommended and can be done by visiting here

All are invited, especially: 

  • 2023 high school graduates and their families; 
  • adults who want to start or finish a degree, learn a new field, or advance in their careers; 
  • active-duty military and veterans, their spouses and dependents. 

You will be able to apply to TCC; learn about financial aid, grants and scholarships; explore academic options; tour campuses; and learn about campus life at all locations. 

If you have an eye on a four-year college, TCC can help get you there, too. Transfer agreements allow a student to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at TCC and gain guaranteed admission to most Virginia colleges and universities.

Tidewater Community College is opening its doors on all campuses for Open House on Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Prospective students and their families are invited to visit TCC’s campuses in ChesapeakeNorfolkPortsmouth and Virginia Beach and the Regional Automotive Center in Chesapeake.

Advisors will be on hand to help students choose a pathway, apply for admission, get financial aid help and tour the campuses.

Whether you plan to take a full load or just one class, TCC offers a range of options to prepare you for the next step.

Students who are attending college for the first time or recent high school graduates are eligible to receive a free laptop when they enroll and pay for classes.

Tidewater Community College offers 150-plus programs ranging from engineering to the visual and culinary arts, to automotive, as well as cybersecurity and other options in computer science.

TCC is a great option for students looking to transfer to the four-year school of their dreams and want to get those general education requirements out of the way without accruing loads of student debt. Transitioning military and career changers can also learn more about program options.

Help available over the holidays if you want to enroll for spring classes at TCC

Tidewater Community College is open for the holidays to help students enroll in spring classes, explore career options and learn about financial aid and student support services.

TCC’s New Student Support Team will be available to assist new and prospective students from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 20, 21, 27 and 28 by phone at 822-1111 or email at enroll@tcc.edu.

Current students can find help through the Information Center during the same time frame and on Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 822-1122 and email at info@tcc.edu.

All college offices are closed from Dec. 20 through Jan. 1. E-advisors will be available every day over the holidays except Christmas and New Year’s Day.

A one-stop-shop for TCC services will be held during our Special Enrollment Day and extended hours:

Extended Hours: Jan. 7-17

  • Monday through Thursday – 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Special Enrollment Day

  • Saturday, Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visit these locations for help:

  • Norfolk Campus: Andrews Science Building
  • Portsmouth Campus: Building A
  • Virginia Beach Campus: Bayside Building

During these days, students can visit any of TCC’s campuses to:

  • Take placement tests
  • Meet with an advisor about academic goals and transfer options
  • Receive one-on-one help with the registration process
  • Sign up for new student orientation
  • Learn about campus life and organizations

Spring classes for the 16-week session begin on Jan. 14.

Even though the holidays are upon us, it’s the perfect time to plan for next year.

Attend Tidewater Community College’s open house on Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. until noon and learn everything TCC. Whether you plan to take a full load or just one class, TCC offers a range of options to prepare you for the next step.

The college offers short term certificates –phlebotomy, trucking and numerous information technology options among them – in addition to transfer programs and full associate degrees. Love the fine arts or tinkering with cars? TCC has a center dedicated to the arts and its own automotive training facility.

Find your favorite among 150 programs and apply for admission onsite at open house. You’ll also be able to receive help with financial aid and tour the campuses.
