Tidewater Community College, in cooperation with the City of Chesapeake, will conduct an emergency exercise Friday, Nov. 13, on its Chesapeake Campus.

Each year, the college partners with public safety agencies to test its emergency response procedures. The annual exercises are mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The exercise will begin around 9:30 a.m. when City of Chesapeake public safety personnel and vehicles respond to a simulated incident at the Chesapeake Campus Student Center, 1428 Cedar Road.

Motorists along Cedar Road may see emergency vehicles and hear warnings during the exercise period. While traffic is not expected to be disrupted, brief stoppages are possible.
